Easy Holiday Treat

 

I especially enjoy making these chocolate-covered almond clusters during the holidays. They couldn’t be more simple, and the best part is…everyone loves them! 

 

These clusters will not only jazz up any holiday cookie platter, but they also make wonderful holiday gifts. When you need something small to give co-workers, neighbors, bus drivers, teachers, friends, etc., this homemade candy should be your go-to for edible treats. 

 

You can package them up and hand them out, then watch the recipient’s face light up because a homemade treat made with love is always well received.

Salted Chocolate Almond Clusters

 

 

ingredients for making chocolate covered almons clusters with sea salt

Ingredients:

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
2⅓ cups unsalted almonds
coarse sea salt

 

Tools needed:

Microwave
Microwavable mixing bowl
Spoon or cookie scoop
Parchment paper
Baking sheet

 

With just three simple ingredients, regular every day kitchen supplies, and 30 minutes of time (including chill time) is all you need to be able to make these sea salt chocolate almond clusters.

How To Make Sea Salt Chocolate Nut Clusters

 

Get started by lining your baking sheet with parchment paper.

 

In a large mixing bowl, add the chocolate chips. Microwave for two minutes, making sure to pause every 30 seconds to stir. Continue until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.

Once you get the chocolate smooth, add in the almonds, folding them in until well coated.

Using a spoon or a cookie scoop, scoop up the mixture until the spoon is filled and place the chocolate/nut mixture on the lined baking sheet.

 

Salted chocolate almond nut clusters

 

Repeat until all the chocolate/nut mixture has been used, then immediately sprinkle each cluster with sea salt.

 

Place the baking sheet into the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes for the clusters to set, then enjoy!

 

Any leftover nut clusters can be stored at room temperature in an air tight container for up to one month.

 

Simple to make, these chocolate almond clusters have just the right amount of salty sweetness to soothe any craving.

  • Add chocolate chips to large mixing bowl. Microwave for two minutes, pausing every 30 seconds to stir. Continue until the chocolate is smooth and creamy.
  • Add the almonds to the chocolate, folding them in until coated.
  • Using a spoon, scoop up the mixture until spoon is filled and place on the lined baking sheet. Repeat until all mixture has been used.
  • Immediately sprinkle each cluster with sea salt.
  • Place in fridge for at least 20 minutes to set.
