Super easy side dish of crispy, lightly seasoned baby potatoes roasted to perfection in the air fryer.
Easy Air Fryer Dishes
One of the reasons I love my air fryer so much is because it helps me put together a fantastic meal in a shorter amount of time. Without an air fryer, I may decide to pass on making a side dish like roasted potatoes because I am always looking for quick and easy, and, well, I’m too impatient after a long day of work to wait for potatoes to roast in the oven!
The air fryer has made it incredibly simple to dress up my dinners. I am such a fan of air fryers that I actually just bought a full-size air fryer/range that I am super excited to start using. I’ll be sure to give some updates on how that is going soon.
Below, I have some excellent recipes for you to try in your air fryer.

This recipe for roasted baby potatoes works with 4-quart or larger air fryers. If you’re using a smaller one, cut the recipe in half or cook only half at a time.
How To Roast Potatoes in the Air Fryer
Get started with this side dish by scrubbing your potatoes and patting them dry. You definitely don’t want to skip that step since you aren’t peeling the potatoes.
Slice the baby potatoes in half and place them in a mixing bowl. If you aren’t using baby potatoes, you’ll need to cut the potatoes into small, bite-size pieces.
If time allows, I recommend soaking your potatoes in water for about 20 minutes after you’ve cut them. This allows the starch to be drawn out and will help the potatoes to be much crispier.
Drizzle potatoes with your olive oil and season with salt & pepper. Toss it all together and make sure the baby potatoes are well coated.
Spread the halved baby potatoes evenly in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes. If your air fryer doesn’t reach 400°F, use the closest setting it gives. You may have to add a couple more minutes of cooking time.
It’s important that the potatoes get tossed and adjusted halfway through the cooking process. This allows them to cook evenly and not burn half while the other half doesn’t crisp well. After 10 minutes, shake the basket of potatoes and continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
Let the potatoes cool down for a few minutes before serving, then enjoy!
Simple to make lightly seasoned baby potatoes roasted in an air fryer, which leaves them crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
