Personal flatbread bread pizza with spicy Buffalo chicken, with bleu cheese and cheddar, melted to perfection in the air fryer.
If there’s anything this Buffalo girl and her family love, it’s all things chicken wings. I think Buffalo wing sauce runs through our veins. Another huge staple around here is pizza. Pizza and wings go together like salt & pepper or peanut butter & jelly. So it was a no-brainer that I would want to combine our favorites into one delicious dish.

Something else I have been obsessed with lately is my air fryer. I have loved it from the beginning, but since I’ve been cooking at home much more than usual thanks to COVID-19, I’ve upped my air fryer usage.
I love how quick and easy air frying is, not to mention it’s a great way to make low-fat meals and produce even cooking with less oil and grease.
Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Pizza
There are a few Buffalo mainstays that I always keep on hand. One is Frank’s Red Hot Sauce and the other is Rootie’s Bleu Cheese. I am pretty sure that Frank’s is available everywhere, though I’m not sure about the Rootie’s. If you have a Wegmans grocery store in your area, I would try to find it there. If it is not available to you, I recommend using a thick bleu cheese dressing like Marie’s.
Ingredients:
2 Naan bread (or flatbread)
2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
2 tablespoons melted butter
6 tablespoons Frank’s Red Hot sauce
1/2 cup Bleu cheese dressing
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Begin by warming the air fryer for 2 minutes at 380°. I love to use Naan bread for this recipe, however, feel free to use a thicker flatbread if you prefer. I usually buy it pre-made but have used this Naan bread recipe from Beth at BudgetBytes.com when making my own.
Spread the Bleu cheese across the bread. Reserve a small amount of the dressing to use later. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and the Frank’s Red Hot sauce until well combined. Toss in the cooked chicken and coat completely. You can use chicken breasts, rotisserie chicken, breaded chicken strips, it’s really up to you and what you have on hand.
Place the chicken evenly over the bread and sprinkle on your cheddar cheese.
Drizzle the remaining Bleu cheese over the top of the pizzas and carefully transfer to the air fryer basket or tray. Cook at 380° for 8 – 10 minutes. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to cook the personal pizzas separately.
Pull the basket or tray out of the air fryer and let the pizza sit for 2 minutes before removing it, so the cheese doesn’t slide.
And there you have it! A quick and easy way to enjoy a personal-sized Buffalo-style chicken pizza at home, made with your air fryer.
